Walking!

Blake took his first step today! He took ONE tentative step this morning, then fell. He took TWO tentative steps this afternoon, then fell. And tonight he had a few sessions of the one step/two step then fall thing. Now he thinks he should get to push around the furniture and lead us all around the house by two fingers so he can "practice" his walking. I'm pretty sure this isn't good news for the very few toys that Blake hasn't already gotten into!!! It also isn't looking good for Mom. It means that he'll REALLY be able to terrorize the house!

The Beach in August

We took the opportunity in the last HOT days of August to hit the beach again. It's still beautiful and sandy.

Sam was awake for part of the outing. He looks adorable in his beach wear but undecided about the water!

Blake was also undecided. He liked the water between his toes, but he didn't like when the waves came crashing into him.

Don't judge! I had to borrow Tabby's hat for a few moments. Just to see what it was like to wear a girly hat. I've promised Dad that I will never borrow it again!!

Lunch with the Gorillas

Tabby and I thought the gorilla was cool when he was this far away.
